Director Sriram Raghavan on King Khan and Baazigar connection - TNBCLive

AndhaDhun director Sriram Raghavan is not collaborating with 53-years-old popular Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for a film yet,  but he definitely desired to work with the superstar. Mr. Raghavan told the source that SRK’s name always came at his mind whenever he worked on a script but “There are certain actors I think I can approach whenever I am working on something and Shah Rukh is one of those. He’s somebody whom I’d love to work with.” Director Raghavan also said that he had written a version of the story that gave Mr. Khan one of his major hit movies- Baazigar.

Director Sriram Raghavan said, “He’s somebody whom I’d love to work with. For example, one of the very early stories I’d written, was based on a novel on which Baazigar was also based – A Kiss Before Dying. My version of that movie would have been something else. In fact, I worked on the script and later found out that a film had already been made on the idea.”

Baazigar, a crime-thriller movie, released in 1993 and directed by Abbas-Mustan and it was a commercial success and starred Kajol opposite to Shah Rukh Khan was Shilpa Shetty’s debut film.

Meanwhile, Raghavan’s last film AndhaDhun starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte, was also a hit t the box office. He is popular for films like Johnny Gaddaar, Badlapur, Ek Hasina Thi, and Agent Vinod.

Director Sriram Raghavan’s wish list next film will be based on war film, of which he told the source that “the work has not yet begun. It will be expensive so it needs a lot of preparation.”
