Actor Vikram Chatterjee filed a petition for relief in the death case of model and TV host Sonika Chauhan in a car crash. Today, his plea was rejected by Kolkata Court as there was enough evidence to frame charges against Mr. Chatterjee. The charges upon him will be done by Kolkata Court on December 3.
Today the decision of the court was welcomed by Ms. Chouhan’s lawyer. However, Vikram Chatterjee’s Lawyer said that they will appeal to High Court.
The car got crashed on 29th April 2017, which was driven by Mr. Chatterjee in Kolkata. Mr. Chouhan was seating beside Vikram in the passenger seat, lost her life in the crash.
However, Vikram Chatterjee has claimed that he was “neither drunk nor speeding” when their car got crashed and has requested to be discharged from the murder case. Police reports state that his blood test was negative for alcohol but the car he was driving at 95-105 kmph at the time of the crash.
