Actor Rajat Kapoor charged of harassing two women, apologises
Actor Rajat Kapoor is called out for accused over sexual harassment on Twitter with two women alleged him of inappropriate behavior has apologized for ‘having slipped’. The accounts were sent to Journalist Sandhya Menon, who posted #MeToo stories of her own and some sent by women, they did not want to get highlighted. A journalist detailing a telephonic conversation, in which Rajat Kapoor asked her “if she was as sexy as (she) sounds” and “tell me your vital stats.” An assistant Director also claims that the actor has proposed her to shoot in an empty house with him and would incessantly call her from Actor Saurabh Shukal’s place.
Rajat Kapoor, on Twitter, posted that “All my life I have tried to be a decent man, to do the right thing. If however, I have slipped and through my actions or words caused pain or hurt or trauma to absolutely anybody, please accept my apology. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart – and sad that I was the cause of this hurt to another human being. If there is one thing more important to me than even my work, it is to be a good human being. And I have tried to be that person. And now, I will try harder.”

After Actress Tanushree Dutta, India finally has its #MeToo moment with Actor Rajat Kapoor. Ms. Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her sexually two weeks ago. She was accused harassed by Mr. Patekar, 10-years ago on a film set and her complaint was ignored. Now, not only Ms. Dutta is being heard, Twitter post exploded with men from media and other industries being ousted as predators. Ms. Menon is leading the charge upon men in the film industry.
Vikas Bahl, director of movie ‘Queen’ has also been alleged over sexual misconduct by three women, one of the movie actress Kangana Ranaut. Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane co-owned production of movie ‘Phantom’, has been dissolved. Mr. Motwane and Mr. Kashyap both have tweeted to say that they believed Director Bahl to be accused of the predatory behavior he is charge off.
