Academic Award Winner AR Rahman is appreciated for 13-years-old Lydian Nadhaswaram. The teenager is being praised for being a ‘piano prodigy’, who won $1 for his outstanding performance on “The World’s Best”, a US Reality Show.

Talented Lydian told the source that “It was really good performing in a huge international platform. I practiced a lot for the competition.”

He had made his debut in The Ellen Show, a video shared on Facebook by Ellen DeGeneres, which has featured a part of the show, in which young Lydian stuns the audience by playing piano blindfolded. The video went viral with more than 2.6 million views. He is a student of Chennai-based KM Music Conservatory, which is functioning by AR Rahman. Eventually more movies, Lydian wants to score in music. However, Mr. Rahman has different hopes for him, who he termed an ‘ambassador’ for Chennai and India.

AR Rahman told sources, “I want him to become like the Lang Lang for India,” referred to the Chinese Pianist. He further said that the Oscar was not an ultimate goal for the young champ.

Lydian Nadhaswaram has shrugged when was asked about what he did with his hefty win, he replied, wants to practice more and more.

Over the criticism that Mr. Rahman has faced on social media, accused of forcing his daughter Khatija to wear niqaab at an event, he replied: “In today’s time, everybody knows what to do. Everybody knows what to choose. It’s good for everybody.”
