Today, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal unveils Rail Drishti Dashboard for passengers to keep track on train arrival and departure on time and other such information from anywhere in the country.

The dashboard of “eDrishti” was developed by the Centre for Railway Information System (CRIS) and can be accessed at www.raildrishti.cris.org.in

Introducing the dashboard, the Railway Minister said that people can now track any India Railway related information in a swipe- even while on move.

Users can even find out the trains movement across the country, freight, train punctuality, passengers earnings, freight unload and loading, public grievances, the progress of major projects, Railway Station’s details and much more, added Mr. Goyal.

With daily complaints regarding the food quality been served on trains, Rail Drishti Dashboard has been linked to the base kitchens of IRCTC (Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation) to permit monitoring of goings-on in kitchens via live video.

It will further offer live status of reserved and unreserved passengers traveling on trains besides providing train’s exact locations at any point of time.

Piyush Goyal said that ‘eDrishti’ was objected at making the Indian Railways more transparent and asked for suggestions to improve its services.
