Global ride-sharing major Uber on Wednesday launched “Uber Vouchers” for businesses globally, including in India.
The platform was developed on the “Uber For Business” (U4B), the ‘Vouchers’ are now being made available in most of the nations where Uber operates, said the company in a statement.
General Manager and Global Head of Uber for Business, Ronnie Gurion said that “as companies look for new technology and novel ways to engage with consumers, ‘Vouchers’ provide a perk that businesses know their customers will use.”
The ‘Vouchers’ can be sent over email, mobile messaging and social media.
These come with the discounted trips and option to draft ‘Voucher’ programmes, which is customized in terms of budget, specified pick-up and drop-off locations and set time for an offer.
To streamline billing and reporting, businesses will be allowed to maintain records of how many ‘Vouchers’ were redeemed or used within a dedicated dashboard.
No personal information of the person who is riding is used in the ‘Voucher’ would be shared, added the company.
Businesses can find how many ‘Vouchers’ has been used or redeemed within a dedicated dashboard.
The new feature was beta tested with around 100 Uber partners globally ahead of the final release.
