Today, all the government and private schools which are situated within 5 kilometers of the Line of Control (LoC) at Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir as Pakistani soldiers fired mortar shells at several areas after the Indian Air Force attacked Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in Pakistan’s Balakot killing a large number of terrorists.
The District Magistrate of Rajouri told the sources, “Due to the prevailing situation on the Line of Control, all government and private schools located in 0 to 5 km range from the LoC in Rajouri district shall remain closed today. Exams scheduled for today also stand canceled in.”
After the Indian Air Force suddenly attacked yesterday night a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Pakistan crossing the Line of Control. 12 Mirage 2000 aircraft of the Indian Air Force carried out the operation killing over 300 terrorists along with some of their leaders. Kashmir Governor Satya Malik reviewed the law and order situation as well as telling about the security situation in the state after the air strike.
The Governor directed all the security forces to take effective steps to maintain peace all over the state for the sake of the people. He also requested the people of Jammu and Kashmir for remaining calm and not to get unnecessarily scared.
