The Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet went on a routine training mission when it crashed in the paddy field in Assam’s Milanpur regions and burst into smoke at 8:30 PM, said the spokesman.

Luckily, the unexpected crash caused no damage to public property.

Lt. Pande continued that local men rushed two rescue the pilots and lifted them to Army Base Hospital in Tezpur.

Fire engines were immediately called on the spot to bring down the rising flames under control, said the Fire Department officials.
