On Monday, the Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant almost fainted twice while reading the budget speech in the state Assembly.

During his budget speech, the state Finance Minister fell over the microphone but was assisted by fellow members, present in the House.

After regaining consciousness, Mr. Pant resumed reading the speech but started feeling uncomfortable again.

He was immediately offered a glass of water and extended medical aid.

Mr. Pant rested for a while in the chair and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has completed the remaining speech.

However, soon Mr. Pant started feeling better and even briefed the source about the budget after the House, adjourned for the day.
