Finally, the much awaited Apache RR 310 Race Edition is out for sale and has been tested on race tracks as well as the Indian streets. The Houser based motorcycle company is all set to hand over the marvelous machine to the buyers.
The motorcycle is a unique one from the other versions. It is tuned to reach a nerve breaking speed and high performance. The bike feels very aggressive with a top speed of 175. TVS Motors has tuned the 310 cc racing engine with a reverse inclined liquid cooled four stroke engine that produces a peak power of 38 PS at 10,500 RPM. The vehicle also packs a race-tuned exhaust accompanied with a 40mm throttle body. However, there are some modifications listed on the motorcycle such as a rear set of foot pegs, revised air intake and a race-inspired ergonomics.
The regular version of the Apache 310 RR of the Akula is made available for sale in India since the past few months and is priced at Rs. 2.23 lakhs. It has been ranked as India’s affordable high tuned motorcycles outselling the KTM Duke RC 390. Apache 310 older versions are less powerful than the race model launched recently. The race version packs a broad array of updates and it returned for optimal performance. The engine in the race version of the 310 produces a peak power of 34 BHP-28NM torque. The gearbox of the vehicle is 6 speed, dual disc brakes with dual channel ABS for effective braking.
However, the fully flared motorcycle would make its way in the Indian Motorcycle Racing championship that is to be held this year at the Kari Speedway in Coimbatore. The bike is also likely to be used for the multi-continent, making it one of the first ever bike by TVS to internationally compete in the race competition. TVS has decided to export the Apache 310 to other continents thus making it a flagship vehicle.
